Welcome to Hopkins Elementary! I have lots fun and exciting things planned for the upcoming year! We had a great first day. We had "magic playdough" which predicted if we were going to have a great year or not! I am happy to say that it's going to be a great year for ALL of us! Please make sure you check back frequently to see the fun things we are doing in our classroom.

Let's Twist Again!

Mrs. Edwards, Mrs. Urso, Mrs. Hendricks, Mrs. Urban, and Mrs. Wilson are
ready for the day!

50 Days At Hopkins!!!

Hot Tamales were a favorite candy in the 50's.  We used them to measure the distance
across a record.

Hot tamales are H-O-T!!

We practiced our 50's dances.

Look out Dancing with the Stars.  Here comes James and Tarryn!

We counted 50 cotton balls and glued them to poodles!

Dre

We had coke floats just like the kids did at the soda fountains!

Perfect 50's look!

Tarryn could blow a bubble.

We played "Roll-a-Record" in math.

Finally at the Sock Hop!

Neveah and her mom had fun dancing.

We loved having Ashton's grandfather at our Sock Hop!

Help Our Class AND School Win!

Hopkins needs your help!  Please join the Parent Teacher Association.  Your money helps support different programs in our school.  It helps provide extra supplies for your child's classroom.  Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends can join!

Indian Corn, Scarecrows, and Veterans Day = Fall

Kyra working on her scarecrow.

The Native Americans taught the Pilgrims how to grow corn (maize).

Good job, Nelson.

We are earning feathers for our Indian headbands.

Braeden will have lots of feathers for our feast!

On Veterans Day, Ben held the American flag while we said the pledge.

We made a paper chain using an ABC pattern.

Hooray for the RED, WHITE, AND BLUE!
THANK YOU VETERANS!
