Aa is For Apples and Applesauce

We cut up apples, added water, cinnamon, and sugar!  Our apples cooked all day and at the end of the day, we had APPLESAUCE!

The glyph tells you that this is a 6 year old girl, who likes apples, and likes her apples in apple pie!



This is a 5 year old boy, who likes apples and prefers his apples in apple pie!



Our graph tells us that most of the class liked the yellow apples.

Alert! Lost Camera Cord!

I am sorry for the lack of posts!!   I have misplaced my camera charger!  My camera battery died on the field trip so that is why there aren't more posts.  I'm trying to get some pictures from a parent posted!  Please be patient!! 

Thanks to all who attended the Parent Workshop last night.  I hope you left with lots of good ideas!

Conferences are coming up soon.  If you haven't already signed up for a conference, a sheet with the available times will go home tomorrow! Return it ASAP so you can get your first choice in time.

KINDERGARTEN WORKSHOP!

Do you want some great ideas that will help your child become a better reader and writer?  Join us next Tues. night, Oct. 18th, at 6:30!  I will give you ideas on how to help your child with writing.  You will have the opportunity to visit with two more of our kindergarten teachers who will discuss reading.  Come out for a fun night and an opportunity to meet other parents and teachers.

Fire Safety

Firemen taught us how to stay safe and what to do if there is a fire in our house.

Fireman Jason is our friend. 



Fireman Jason looks scary but he is still our friend and we should NOT be afraid of him!





We were good listeners!  Mrs. Urban was proud of our behavior.




Braeden learned to scream if there is a fire in his house so an adult can find him.




Juelz learned that his family needs "working" smoke alarms in his home.




Tiffany learned that her family needs to have a "meeting place" outside in case of a fire.  A good place to meet is by your mailbox.




Miller learned that children should tell an adult if they find matches or a lighter.  Children should not touch either.



Terrence learned that he should not touch an oven or stove.

Nelson learned that he should get down on the floor if there is a lot of smoke in his house.  Smoke goes up so we go down!



James learned that you have to do well in school and listen to your teacher if you want to be a firefighter! ;0)

I love to fish in the Shenandoah River.  I catch bass and catfish.

I love to ride my cousin's 4-wheeler through the mountains!
