Welcome to Hopkins Elementary! I have lots fun and exciting things planned for the upcoming year! We had a great first day. We had "magic playdough" which predicted if we were going to have a great year or not! I am happy to say that it's going to be a great year for ALL of us! Welcome to Hopkins, Betsy Ross!
It has been told that George Washington asked Betsy Ross to make the first flag for our country.
We learned that Betsy was a seamstress from PA.
The first flag had 13 stars. One for each of the 13 colonies.
